2D Garden Designs

detailed 2D plans.
My 2D full garden design service provides a complete and carefully considered design, developed around your ideas, lifestyle, practical requirements and the character of your garden.
The design is presented through professionally prepared 2D plans and site elevations, giving you a clear understanding of the proposed layout, levels, planting and individual garden features.
This is the same comprehensive design approach as my 3D service, with the concept simply presented in a different way.
Planting Plans
Sometimes a garden doesn’t need a complete redesign — it simply needs the right planting scheme to bring the space to life.
Whether you are looking for colour and seasonal interest, year-round structure, fragrance, or plants suited to your soil and growing conditions, a carefully considered planting plan can make all the difference.
On-site Consultation
Have a question about your garden or unsure about the best way to develop your outdoor space?
A garden consultation is a comprehensive, one-to-one session in your own garden, where we can discuss your ideas, challenges and opportunities and develop practical recommendations tailored to your space.
Following our meeting, you will receive a written summary with photographs from your garden and suggested next steps.
Landscape Plans for Planning Permission
For individual rural planning applications, a Landscape Plan can be an important part of demonstrating how a new property will integrate with its surroundings and the existing landscape.
I prepare landscape plans for single-house planning applications in rural areas, addressing considerations such as native and wildlife-friendly planting, screening of the new property, boundary planting, wildlife corridors and shelter from prevailing winds.
The plan can provide a clear planting and landscape strategy to accompany your planning application and respond to the landscaping requirements of the local authority.
This service does not cover housing developments, commercial developments or larger-scale projects.
Plant Sourcing and Supply
This service is available exclusively for my garden designs.
Following completion of the hard landscaping, I can assist with sourcing and supplying the plants specified in your planting plan.
On your behalf, I will source the plants, co-ordinate their delivery and arrange for them to be brought to site. I will then position the plants according to the planting plan, ensuring that the design is accurately translated from the drawings to the garden, with each plant placed in its intended location ready for planting.
To help you care for your newly planted areas, I can also provide an easy-to-follow monthly maintenance calendar, outlining the key seasonal tasks and care requirements for your planting scheme.

Every garden is different, so every quote is personal. Fees for the design are quoted after the phone call assessment and are based on the size and complexity of your project.
For your peace of mind, a detailed contract explains the scope of the work, the timescale of the project and the total fee for the design.
