This beautiful historic townhouse occupies a prime position in the heart of Thurles.

The owner undertook an impressive renovation of the house, carefully restoring it and bringing it back to its former glory.

I wanted the garden design to reflect the character and symmetry of the newly restored home, while creating a welcoming and elegant approach.

Taking inspiration from the strong symmetry of the early 20th-century façade, I introduced two classical urns set within oval planting beds, creating a natural connection between the architecture and the garden. The formal structure is softened by generous planting, bringing colour, texture and seasonal interest to the front of the property.

I was delighted to create a garden that complements the character of this beautiful house and helps complete the transformation of the property.
