The owners saw the potential to transform part of their working dairy farm into a unique country-style accommodation, creating a place where guests could experience the character and beauty of the farm while enjoying modern comforts.

 

I was delighted to be involved in developing the garden design and helping bring their vision to life, complementing the character of the old buildings and reflecting the care and hard work they have invested in the project.

I created a series of small private gardens for each accommodation unit, alongside a generous communal space designed for socialising and relaxation.

​

Modern paving was chosen to complement the barn’s beautifully aged materials, while the garden is carefully zoned to give each guest a private outdoor space to enjoy a quiet moment at their doorstep.

​

The communal area is divided into two distinct spaces: one for social cooking, with a BBQ, pizza oven and dining tables, and another for relaxing on comfortable sofas around the fireplace. Colourful planting beds and raised planters soften the hard landscaping and create living screens, forming a series of inviting outdoor rooms.
